DVD: Conversation with my Gardener
Genre: Comedy drama
Synopsis: A fifty-something, well-off Parisian artist ( Daniel Auteuil) returns his roots in provincial France and his childhood home. He uses the services of a local gardener (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) who turns out to be an old class mate. This rekindles their friendship into a touching tale which is as captivating and simple as a love story.
My opinion: This film is a breath of fresh air, which depicts friendship with incomparable tenderness and humour. We ask ourselves personal questions about the meaning of happiness and the place of money in all that.
Film that I would cheerfully see several times.

I like this kind or film reviews because they allow me to learn more vocabulary and get familiar with the pronunciation of longer sentences. Besides, I can listen to them as many times as I need or can. They are also spoken slowly enough so it not so difficult to understand. We also have references about the films we can confidently watch. We might probably not be able to understand much of them yet, but that is what learning a language is about.....
The play controls were a little difficult to use, in that the play button didn't operate until the stop button had been pressed, even when the dialogue was long over. They could be a little more prominent, too.
As to the film, well, I look forward to seeing it. Though I wonder if I'll ever be able to make sense of lines like 'quinquagenaire assez aisse'. Ah well.
